Checked out that new apartment complex near the Blue Line in Logan Square yesterday and the soundproofing is practically non-existent
I could hear my neighbor sneeze through the wall while I was touring a unit on the 4th floor, so has anyone else run into paper-thin walls at these newer builds in the city?

Wait, were you actually on the 4th floor touring a unit or was it a different floor? Sorry, not trying to be nitpicky here but it sounds like you were on the 4th floor and still heard someone sneeze through the wall, which is wild. I think you might have meant you could hear someone on the floor below or next door weirdly enough those new buildings use this spray foam insulation stuff that does nothing for sound. Soundproofing between units is like an afterthought for them, they just slap up some drywall and call it a day. Honestly it's not just Logan Square either, I've noticed the same thing in some of those new builds over in Wicker Park too.

Yeah @finleyh89, I actually toured a place on the 4th floor there last month and heard someone flushing a toilet from two floors up. We ended up renting an older walkup in Ukrainian Village instead. Way thicker walls and we can't hear our neighbors at all.
