Visited a co-working space in Austin and noticed something weird about their job board

I popped into a co-working spot on East 6th last Tuesday and saw they had this big physical corkboard with job postings pinned up. Every single listing was for entry-level tech sales or startup customer support roles, which seemed super narrow for a city with so many industries. Is this just a downtown Austin thing or do most co-working spaces tilt heavily toward one kind of career track?

Man its wild how much these spaces shape themselves around one specific crowd. I notice the same thing at coffee shops near me - the ones in tech neighborhoods have job boards covered in startup stuff but the ones near the art district are all gigs for freelance designers and mural helpers. Its like these places start echoing whatever industry is paying the most rent in that block. Austin especially feels like it forgot it has healthcare and education sectors.

Blame the landlords tbh. They price out everything that isn't tech.

Right?? @jana119 nailed it with the landlord thing. But what happens when the only jobs posted are tech sales - does that mean everyone else just stops applying or do those boards end up creating the workforce instead of reflecting it?
