Rant: That time I thought a $15 notebook was a total scam
I was dead set against buying a fancy notebook from that stationery store on 5th Ave for work planning, figured a spiral from the dollar store did the same thing. After three months of using the cheap one and losing every other page, I caved on the $15 dotted one with numbered pages and it actually stopped my chaos. Has anyone else found one random tool that made you feel silly for being stubborn about it?

Respectfully, that $15 notebook did exactly what it was supposed to do - make you feel like you needed it. Half the battle with organization is just feeling like you have your stuff together. The numbered pages and dotted grid are cool, but a cheap binder with dividers does the same thing for less than five bucks. You could also just tape loose pages into a composition book and get the same effect. Not saying your notebook is bad, just that the price tag did a lot of the heavy lifting on your motivation. What made you think numbered pages were gonna fix your chaos?

Did you try just using a plain spiral and numbering the pages yourself?

Lol "feel like you have your stuff together" is literally my life motto at this point. I see your point but honestly the numbered pages sold me because my brain is too lazy to count manually past 10. I tried a binder once and ended up with half the papers crinkled in my backpack and the other half in a puddle of coffee. So yeah the $15 was mostly me paying for the illusion of control not actual organization. At this point I'd pay $50 for a notebook that pretends my chaos is just intentional minimalism.
