Paid $400 for a career coach and it was the worst money I ever spent
I know everyone on this sub swears by career coaches but my experience was a total disaster. This guy had me redo my resume 5 times over 3 weeks, kept pushing me to apply for jobs way above my experience level, and when I followed his advice I got zero callbacks. Then he tried to sell me his "premium package" for another $600. Total waste. Has anyone else had a bad experience with a career coach or did I just pick the wrong person?

See it differently actually. Sometimes you need that tough push to aim higher even if the resume tweaks felt annoying.

Ha, isn't that just a fancy way of saying the system made you lie to get ahead?

Yeah it's kind of like how people complain about tough workouts but then feel great after... same idea applies to a lot of stuff in life I guess @gavin_kelly91. That little bit of extra pressure can make you actually level up instead of staying comfortable.
