I thought a formal business plan was pointless until I tried a one-page version

For years I just kept everything in my head, but after a mentor in Austin made me write a single page with goals and costs, I got a small business loan in 3 weeks. Has anyone else had a plan that was too long and just gave up on it?

Seriously, that one-page trick cuts through all the pointless fluff.

Totally agree, it forces you to focus on what actually matters.

But what if the fluff is actually important sometimes... like, forcing everything onto one page can make you leave out key details or skip explaining why something matters. It just becomes a list of bullet points with no real story behind it.
