Bought a $300 'career coach' package that was just recycled blog posts

I mean, the guy just sent me links I could've found on Google in five minutes. Anyone know a legit way to get actual one-on-one advice without getting scammed?

Oof, that "recycled blog posts" thing is such a classic scam move. I got burned once too. The only real one-on-one advice I've found is through industry-specific professional groups, like on LinkedIn. You find people who actually DO the job you want, not just talk about it. Ask for a short "informational interview" instead of paying a "coach." Most people are happy to help for free if you're respectful of their time.

Totally agree, informational interviews saved my career shift. Reaching out to real workers beats paying any coach.

Same here. Total waste of cash.
