Why does nobody talk about termination blocks and torque?

Been doing this 9 years and always just hand-tightened the screws on term blocks. Last month I had a service call in Portland where the customer's internet kept dropping, pulled the block and four of the six screws were barely snug. I torqued everything to spec at 12 in-lbs and it's been solid since. Who else never got told to use a torque driver on these things?

Buddy of mine out in Eugene had the same thing happen with a rack of PoE cameras. Every six weeks or so he'd get a call about one dropping offline, reseat the connector and it'd work for a month. Drove him nuts for almost a year. Finally pulled the whole strip and three of the eight screws were loose enough that the wire just fell out when he tilted it. Torqued everything once and he never touched that panel again. Nobody ever mentions it in any training either, it's just one of those things you learn the hard way.

@jana_fox50 I'd blame loose screws too, but mine are usually in my head.
