Bought a cheap set off Amazon once. Spent three hours chasing a tone that turned out to be the neighbor's washing machine. Buddy walked over with his $200 Fluke, found the right cable in about twenty seconds. Made me feel like I'd been trying to wire up the house with a pair of rusty spoons.
