Tried running RG6 through an attic in Phoenix in July

I figured I could just power through a quick drop in an attic during the heat of the day. 20 minutes in my temp gauge hit 145 and I was drenched. Nearly passed out up there and had to crawl back down the pull-down ladder. Now I only do attic work before 9am or after 7pm no matter the rush. Has anyone else had to bail on a job mid-run because of heat?

Whoa hold up, you had a temp gauge that only hit 145? That's actually kinda low for a Phoenix attic in July! I used to run cable out there too and those attics easily push 160-170 by noon. The shingles just bake all that heat in with barely any ventilation. 145 is still brutal don't get me wrong, but if you were nearly passing out at that temp you might have been dehydrated going in. I keep a cooler with ice water in the truck and chug a bottle before I even touch the ladder. Also those cheap little digital temp gauges can be off by 10-15 degrees if they're sitting in direct sun or near metal ducts. Just something to watch for so you don't push it too far next time.

oh man @morgan.logan you're totally right about those cheap temp gauges. I had one that said 140 one time but i swear it felt like standing in a pizza oven. and yeah that pre hydrating tip is legit i learned the hard way after getting dizzy on a ladder. idk how some guys do it without water handy.
