That customer who watched me work for 20 minutes and then asked if I'm licensed

Had a residential job off Route 9 last Tuesday, guy stood over my shoulder the whole time while I terminated his drop. He finally goes 'you're not licensed, are you?' I showed him my card and my 8 years of installs, and he still called the office to verify. Has anyone else had customers treat you like a criminal just for showing up on time?
