PSA: A squirrel chewed through a main line in a Denver attic and I had to get creative

I was up there in 90-degree heat and used a piece of heat shrink tubing from my truck to patch it long enough to run a new drop. What's the weirdest animal damage you've had to fix?

Ugh, squirrels are the worst. @theajackson, at least your raccoons were just hoarding, mine seem to actively want to take down the whole power grid.

I mean, I had to wrap my main power line in that metal conduit stuff. It looks kinda ugly but idk, it stopped the chewing at least.

Oh man, that "90-degree heat" part got me... that's the real kicker. I've seen some things... had a raccoon family decide my engine bay was a great place to store a winter's worth of walnuts. The mess and the chewed wires were something else. You just have to laugh at how clever they are at causing the worst problems.
