A 70 year old guy at my shop in Dayton showed me how to break down a whole hog with just a hand saw
Guy named Ray came in last Thursday and watched me struggle with a bandsaw blade that kept wandering on a shoulder. He pulled out a beat up 24 inch hand saw from his truck and had the whole primal apart in about 4 minutes, cleaner than anything I do on the machine. He said his dad ran a locker plant in Eaton, Ohio back in the 60s and they never owned a bandsaw at all. Any of you still keep a hand saw around for the odd stuff, or am I late to something obvious here?
