Switched to a torque wrench after fighting stripped bolts for years

Used to think torque wrenches were overkill for bikes, like something only fancy race shops bothered with. Then I snapped a seatpost clamp bolt on a customer's carbon frame in my shop in Tulsa, $40 fix on a $2000 bike. After that I bought a cheap Beam style torque wrench for 60 bucks and started using it on every carbon part. The consistency is unreal, no more guessing by feel, and I've had zero stripped threads since. Anyone else make the switch late and wonder how they got by without one?

YES dude, same here. I put off buying one forever and now I won't touch carbon without it, just takes all the guesswork out.
