Stopped using grease on pedal threads after a shop owner in Denver called me out
He said 'you're trapping moisture in there' and showed me a seized crank from his bench, so now I just use a dab of anti-seize and have had zero issues pulling pedals off since, anyone else ditch the grease?

Grease is for bearings, not threads. Anti-seize has been a game changer for me too, especially on bikes that see wet conditions. Never had a pedal seize since I switched, and they come off with barely any effort. That shop owner was right.

Wait, hold on. Are you saying you used to just put grease on your pedal threads?! I feel like I just heard a ghost story or something haha. That's wild to me because I've always heard grease just washes out and then you're left with a rusted mess. I've had pedals seize on an old mountain bike before and it was a nightmare, I had to cut the crank arm off. Anti-seize is the only way to go for sure, that stuff laughs at water and salt.
