Spent $80 on a Park Tool cable cutter. Total waste of money.

Bought the Park Tool CN-10 cutter last month because everyone says you need a good one. First use it frayed the end of a Shimano shift cable. Like... badly. Tried cutting slower, still messed up. Returned it and got a $15 pair of Knipex side cutters from the hardware store. Cuts clean every time. No fraying at all. What do you guys use for cable ends?

Probably operator error, mine cuts clean and lasts forever.

Absolutely, "operator error" is spot on, same thing here.
