PSA: stop torquing stems to 6Nm by feel, just watched a bar slip on a customer's bike
Guy brought in a Trek from the Saturday group ride after his bars rotated on a descent and he barely saved it, and sure enough the faceplate bolts were at 8Nm with no click left in them. Grab an actual torque wrench for the 5Nm stuff, your hands lie to you, so who else has pulled a stem apart and found it way over spec?
How did he not go down at speed on a descent with the bars twisting in his hands? That is a straight up nightmare and he is lucky he walked away from it. I picked up a cheap beam style torque wrench years ago for exactly this reason, my hands always want to go tighter than the spec says. Faceplate bolts at 8Nm on a Trek is scary stuff, those things are usually 5 to 6 max.
