Wait, you got a kid to actually pay attention long enough to learn about derailleur adjustment? My nephew is twelve and still tries to pedal backward to brake. The idea that aligning a jockey wheel is like navigating some big life problem is wild to me. Life doesn't have a tension screw you can just turn. Real support is messy, not a clean click into the right gear.
