I finally started using a spoke ruler on every wheel build and my tension headaches went away
Back when I worked at a shop in Boise around 2009 we just eyeballed spoke length and grabbed whatever was in the bin. I started keeping a cheap ruler taped to the bench and measing every spoke before it goes in the wheel, and I have not had a wheel come back for a wobble in probably 60 builds now. Sounds too simple to matter but the difference shows up on the truing stand. Curious if any of you still trust the bin method or did you switch over too?
