Solved a weird payment hold issue by changing one setting
I run a small online shop and kept getting payments held for 3-5 days by our processor. After digging around, I turned off "address verification" for domestic orders under $50, and the holds stopped almost immediately. The risk of fraud is minimal for small amounts, and it freed up cash flow fast. Has anyone else tried disabling certain security checks to speed up settlement times?

Those extra security layers aren't just for you, they help keep the platform itself clean from bots and attacks that affect everyone. Nobody talks about how weak security on one account makes the whole system less safe for the rest of us.

Well we tried turning off two-factor for a few months and honestly it was fine until it wasn't. A family member got their social media account hacked because they had plain passwords and no extra layer. The gain was maybe 30 seconds saved each time we logged in, but the hassle of dealing with a hacked account was way worse. So for us we just keep the security checks on now and live with the minor inconvenience. Sometimes the old ways really are the safest ways.
