PSA: Stop letting your card get skimmed at gas pumps

I finally figured out why my checking account kept dropping by $40 every month after I filled up at that Shell station on Broadway. Turns out the pump reader was tampered with and I never checked the seal, been doing it wrong for 2 years. Anyone else here actually look at those security stickers now?

Start paying with your phone tapping the reader instead of swiping, way harder for skimmers to grab that data since it uses a one-time code.

Yeah but tap to pay screws up half the time at busy registers.
