Have you tried just telling him the truth, that you like having a paper trail? I switched to checks for my rent years ago and my landlord actually thanked me for it. He said the bank app makes it easy to see who paid and when, no hunting through emails. Plus when my card got skimmed last year, I still had my rent covered because the check went through fine. Sometimes the old way is just less of a headache, you know?
