Just remembered the first time I saw a mobile check deposit

It was maybe 2012, and I was at my local branch in Springfield. I was waiting in line to deposit a check from a freelance job, and the guy ahead of me, maybe in his 60s, was talking to the teller. He held up his phone and said, 'My son showed me this trick. You just take a picture of it?' The teller smiled and walked him through it right there. I was kind of stunned you could do that. It felt like magic compared to driving across town. That one moment, watching him learn, really stuck with me as the start of everything moving to our phones. Now I can't remember the last time I stepped into a branch for a deposit. Has anyone else had a moment like that, where you saw someone's first time with a now-normal banking tech?

That's the whole vibe now. Watched my neighbor get a grocery delivery for the first time last week, same look on his face. Just a slow creep of normal.

Slow creep of normal" is the perfect way to put it.
