I used to carry my rent money across town in cash every month, now my landlord just sends a payment link. Feels like a different world.

Same here, my landlord uses an app now.

Oh man, that reminds me of my buddy Dave. He used to have to mail a paper check to his landlord's PO box, like some 1990s throwback. One time the check got lost, and he had to rush to put a stop payment on it and then get a cashier's check before the late fee hit. Now he just taps his phone and it's done. Wild how much simpler it is.

Wow, that's actually a privacy win too. Landlords with PO boxes could be hiding behind shell companies or something sketchy. Digital payments leave a clear trail. Makes it harder for slumlords to operate in the shadows. Your buddy dodged more than just late fees.
