Why does nobody talk about how subs skip over the channel intro?

Every time I watch a Crunchyroll premiere thread people are always complaining about the translation but nobody mentions how the subs vanish during the opening theme song. I noticed this 2 years ago when Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 dropped and I missed the narrator explaining the backstory because the text just disappears after 10 seconds. Is this some new industry standard or did I just get unlucky with the streams?

Oh man, I feel this so hard I once missed a whole season's plot because I thought the subs were just vibing during the credits.

is this some new industry standard" - bro it's just skipping the intro subs, it's not that deep lol. I can't even remember the last time I actually needed to read subs during an opening theme to understand the plot. @kimr10 is wild for saying they missed a whole season's plot though, that's gotta be an exaggeration or something. Most of the time the intro is just vibes and the actual important info comes after the cold open anyway. If you're really that worried about missing a backstory, just pause it and rewind, takes like 2 seconds.
