TIL I was skipping the opening credits every episode for like 5 years

Just realized last week during My Hero Academia that the openings actually change up the animation to hint at future plot points and I've been skipping them since season 2, has anyone else missed something obvious like that because they were in a hurry?

Set up a plex server or just use something like Plex's intro skip feature, it's a game changer. I did the same thing for years until I automated it with a script that cuts the last 90 seconds of every episode too. You can get a cheap old pc for like a hundred bucks and have a 24/7 intro skipper running. It's not perfect but saves so much time over the long run.

Oh man, I feel that so hard. I did the same thing with Attack on Titan, I skipped every single opening and ending for like three seasons and then found out they had all these little Easter eggs and character foreshadowing hidden in the animation. It's such a bummer when you realize you've been missing stuff the creators put a ton of effort into. I still skip sometimes honestly because I'm impatient and just want to get to the story. But now I try to at least watch the first episode of a new season's opening to see if there's anything cool or different. You're definitely not alone in this, it's so easy to get into a habit and just tune out.
