Thought the whole 'Dub vs Sub' debate was just elitist gatekeeping until I tried dubbing for a seasonal show

Was forced to watch the first 3 episodes of the new Gundam series dubbed because my buddy's kid can't read subs fast enough and the pacing felt way more natural for action scenes than I expected, has anyone else flipped sides after giving dubs a real shot?

Subs are usually my go-to but some shows just flow better with a dub, especially when you're watching with someone who can't keep up with the text.

Dragon Ball Z in Japanese is unbearable to me. The English voices are just iconic at this point. Sometimes dubs just hit different and that's okay.
