The moment I realized I was skipping OP sequences too fast

I used to always skip the opening sequences in every anime I watched. Thought they were just filler time. Then last week during a rewatch of Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood, I actually let the first OP play through. Turns out it shows key scenes from later episodes in the background. I missed so many hints and foreshadowing because I was skipping OPs for like 3 years straight. Has anyone else caught hidden details in an OP that totally changed how you saw the show?

OMG @holly_walker76 that burger comparison is spot on lol. I did the same thing with Attack on Titan and missed the whole armband thing in the first OP until someone pointed it out to me months later.

@holly_walker76 nailed it. Skip the first OP in a show and you might miss something that changes the whole story later. I've started pausing on weird shots in openings just to check if they're hints instead of random art.
