Shoutout to that $80 box set of Sword Art Online I bought back in 2013

I paid $80 for the complete first season on DVD, and now it's streaming everywhere for free with a $10 sub. Anyone else got a dusty shelf of overpriced anime they wish they'd waited on?

A few years back I started a rule for myself. If something has crazy good reviews and people keep recommending it, I just watch it right away. No more waiting. Learned that lesson the hard way way too many times. You miss out on being part of the conversation and you kick yourself for it. Now I just clear one weekend and binge whatever everyone's talking about.
