My anime watchlist got corrupted and I lost 3 weeks of tracking
Happened last Tuesday. My MAL app crashed during a sync and wiped out everything I had marked as watching. I had notes on episode timestamps for a few seasonal shows like Dandadan and Blue Box. Had to manually re-add 14 shows from memory. Anyone else lose their progress in a bad update?

bro THREE WEEKS of tracking gone just like that? i'd be so tilted i'd probably just quit watching anime altogether for a month. that's rough man, hope you at least remembered most of the shows you were on.

@keith_rodriguez I get the frustration but honestly quitting for a month sounds like letting the app win. What nobody mentions is that corrupted watchlists can actually be a weird blessing if you use a paper backup. I keep a small notebook by my desk where I jot down what episode I'm on for each show. Takes 10 seconds after I finish watching. When my MAL broke last year I cross referenced my notebook with my memory and only missed 2 shows out of 20. Keith if you're reading this just start writing stuff down on a sticky note. It sounds old school but it saves you from trusting an app with your time. That said three weeks is rough especially with Dandadan since the episode pacing in that show is brutal to track without notes.
