Just found out Goku's voice actor in Japanese is a woman and it messed with my head

I was watching some behind the scenes stuff for Dragon Ball last night and apparently Masako Nozawa has been voicing Goku since the 80s. She's like 88 years old now and still does it. Blew my mind cause I always assumed it was a dude. Has anyone else had a voice actor reveal that totally flipped their view of a character?

You got it backwards honestly. Women voicing young boys is way more common in anime than dudes. Ash Ketchum is a woman. Luffy's a woman. Naruto was a woman when he was a kid. Goku being voiced by a lady should be the expected thing at this point. Older men voicing teenage boys is what should mess with your head.
