Can we talk about how people act like you're not a real fan if you watch dubs?
I was reading a thread yesterday where someone said, 'Real anime fans only watch subbed, dubs are for kids.' It made me think about how I started with dubs on Toonami back in the day and still watch them sometimes when I'm tired. That gatekeeping stuff just pushes people away from the whole community. How do you deal with the sub vs dub police in online spaces?

Tell those gatekeepers to get lost. I grew up on dubs too, and I still throw one on when I'm multitasking. The whole point is to enjoy the show, not pass some purity test. Just watch what you like and ignore the noise.

Right on, cooper.phoenix. I do the same thing with chores.

I get that "enjoy the show" mindset but I actually think dubs miss a lot of the original voice acting intent. Different strokes for different folks I guess lol.
