Vent: That cheap $50 retargeting pixel I installed last week was tracking wrong data

Spent 3 days wondering why my conversions were tanking, then found the pixel was firing twice on every page load. Anyone else deal with budget tools giving you junk data that wastes your time?

Used to think cheap tools were good enough since they did the same basic stuff, but a bad pixel like that changed my mind fast. You pay a little more and suddenly the tracking actually works right without glitching. Three days of debugging for a $50 mistake is brutal. Those budget plugins often skip testing or cut corners on stuff like duplicate firing. Now I spend the extra cash for tools that have reliable support and clear documentation. What did you switch to that actually fixed the problem for you?

Did you end up going back to that pixel plugin and trying the paid version, or did you just scrap it entirely and find something else? I've been there with dodgy plugins and it sucks wasting days on something that should just work.

Paid tools gave me the same headaches, just with a nicer receipt. @riley_schmidt sometimes the free stuff works fine if you actually read the docs.
