Showerthought: I just found out how many people see an ad before they click
I was reading a case study from a guy who runs a small tool brand. He said for his Google Search ads, the average person sees his ad 7 times before they click. That blew my mind. I always thought if someone saw your ad and didn't click right away, you lost them. It means your ad budget is working even when you don't get a click that day. It's about being there when they are finally ready. Has anyone else seen a stat like that for their own ads?

That number makes sense when you think about how people shop. They see your ad, maybe look at a few other sites, and come back later when they're ready to buy. It's like driving past a store a few times before you finally stop in. Your ad is just reminding them you exist until they need you.

Disagree on the store thing. Most people see an ad and just scroll past. They're not driving by, they're trying to ignore the billboard.

Actually think @wendy27 is onto something with the driving past a store idea. People scroll past ads all day, but that name or logo gets stuck in their head. When they finally need a new couch or whatever, they remember who they saw earlier. It's not about getting them to click right then, it's about being the first name they think of later.
