Pro tip: I used to blame the platform for low conversions until I checked my landing page load time
I kept wondering why my Facebook ads were tanking even with decent CTRs. Turns out my landing page was taking 4.2 seconds to load on mobile, and after cutting that to 1.8 seconds my conversion rate jumped from 2% to 5%. Has anyone else seen this big of a shift from just speed optimization?

man yeah 4.2 seconds is brutal for mobile users. i had a similar thing happen with my site last year but it was even worse like almost 6 seconds and fixing it brought my conversions from like 1% to nearly 4%. it's wild how much people just bounce if a page takes too long to load, like they don't even give it a chance. honestly i feel like most folks don't realize how huge page speed is until they actually test it themselves. once you see the numbers before and after it's hard to ignore. makes you wonder how much money gets left on the table just cause someone's hosting is slow or images aren't optimized.

Also @kaiharris is right that most people never even check their load times. I actually found out my site was slow because of too many high-res product images that were way bigger than they needed to be.
