Picked up a tip from a vendor at a farmer's market in Portland that cut my Facebook ad costs by 30%
He told me to target by local event attendance data instead of broad interests, and after I tested it on a weekend craft fair campaign my CPA dropped from $8 to under $5 - has anyone else tried pulling audience insights from city permit or vendor lists?

Has anyone else found that local event data works way better than the generic interest buckets? I tried something similar after a friend told me about scraping public meetup lists and my cost per click dropped noticeably too. It's wild how much more relevant the targeting gets when you work from real life attendance instead of Facebook's guesses.

Real life attendance beats Facebook's guesses every time.

i mean sure it sounds good in theory but are we really acting like facebook's algorithms are total garbage now lol like yeah event data can be tighter but i tested scrapping a local 5k run list and my results were basically flat maybe it depends on the niche but for my little craft stuff broad interests still pull the same numbers with way less work on my end
