My auto-bidding bot went rogue and spent $3,000 on ads for a discontinued product line before I caught it last Thursday

By the time I noticed the flood of sales for a dead SKU, our warehouse was already begging us to stop, has anyone else had an algorithm just completely ignore your campaign rules like that?

Oh man, that's brutal. I had a similar thing happen with a Facebook campaign that decided to go wild on a really old clearance item, burned through like $800 in two hours before I caught it. What finally worked for me was setting up a hard daily budget cap plus a rule that pauses any campaign where ROAS drops below 1.0 for more than an hour, kind of a pain to set up but it saved my butt more than once since then.
