Lost a $7k retainer account this week because of a Facebook pixel glitch
On Monday morning I noticed our conversion numbers for a real estate client in Nashville were way off. Turns out the pixel had been double-firing for 10 days and they spent $3,200 extra on ads that went to the wrong audiences. Has anyone else had a pixel bug cost them a big client like that?

Blame the platform not yourself. That pixel bug cost your client real money and it's totally on Facebook to have errors like that. Cut your losses and move on before they drag you into more pixel drama.

Oh great, another Pixel story that could be turned into a horror movie titled "The Facebook Pixel That Ate My Retainer." I swear every time I think I've seen every possible way a pixel can go wrong, the universe just giggles and shows me a new one. Real estate clients in Nashville are probably the last people you want mad at you too, they're all about that sweet, sweet data and tracking.
Maybe you can send them a nice "Sorry your ad budget got fed to the algorithm gods" card with a little drawing of a pixel having a meltdown. At least you're in good company, half of us have probably lost a client or two because Zuckerberg decided to play hide and seek with our conversion numbers.
