Just realized my old 'spray and pray' ad strategy was burning $500 a month
I used to just set a daily budget on Facebook and hope for the best, but after tracking for 3 months I saw 80% of my clicks were from bots. Now I use a whitelist of specific sites and check placements every Tuesday. What's your best trick for spotting fake traffic before it drains your budget?

Man, that's brutal. I started looking at session duration and bounce rate like a hawk. If a ton of traffic shows a 0-2 second visit and bounces right off a landing page, that's a huge red flag for me now. I also cross-check new traffic sources with a simple analytics tool to see if the user behavior makes any sense.

Totally agree with @brown.emery on watching bounce rates. Another dead giveaway is weird geographic spikes from places you don't even target. I caught a ton of junk traffic from a city my ads weren't even set to show in. Now I check location reports every single morning with my coffee.
