I was dead wrong about automated bidding
For 2 years I ran manual CPC on all my campaigns because I thought the algorithms were just guessing. Then my rep showed me a side by side test on one account that spent $5,000 and saw a 30% lower CPA with Target CPA bidding. I finally caved and tested it on 3 of my own campaigns and it actually worked better in every single one. Has anyone else fought against automation for way too long before finally giving in?

Was it scary handing over control at first or did you just jump right in?

So are you the type who just has to jump in and figure it out as you go, or do you need to plan every little detail first?

The "handing over control" part is what threw me a little. I didn't really hand over control to anyone, I just started my own business and took full control from day one. It was more about trusting myself to figure things out as I went, not trusting someone else. So I guess I just jumped right in, but with a lot of nervous energy and a notepad full of questions I didn't know the answers to yet.
