A Bucharest gym in the '90s where every repetition was a geometry lesson

I spent a summer in that bare-bones warehouse watching lifters execute cleans with precision that felt almost mathematical. Looking back, their focus on perfect lines over heavy weights has become a nostalgic contrast to today's chase for personal records. What traveling experiences have permanently tweaked your technique?

Soviet-era training halls everywhere had that geometric obsession.

Geometric obsession? My gym form is a mess, @fiona_walker74 agrees.

Watching old weightlifting footage from East Germany always gives me that same geometric vibe! @phoenix_gonzalez's point about Soviet halls totally aligns with what I've seen. It's like every movement was calculated on some invisible graph paper!
