Watching those staged rescue videos... feels off to me.
I saw this clip where a guy pretended to choke in a cafe just to film reactions... It got millions of views because people love drama and surprise. The setup is simple: one person acts, another hides to record. Shares spike when viewers debate if it's funny or mean. But here's the thing... no one asked the public if they wanted to be part of a joke. Some folks looked genuinely scared. I get the appeal of viral content, but using real fear for likes? That's where I pause. Makes you think about what we're okay with for entertainment...

Ugh, @gavin_green93 that story about your friend is exactly why this bothers me! What do you think drives people to keep doing this when they know it can hurt folks?

Man, that hits close to home. A buddy of mine got filmed without knowing it in one of those "prank" setups at a mall, where someone pretended to drop a huge stack of boxes. He jumped in to help and looked like a hero for a second, but then he saw the camera and the laughing guy. Felt totally used after, said it made the whole nice thing he did feel fake and stupid. It just steals a real moment from people and turns it into a cheap show for clicks. Really grinds my gears.

Malls are private property, so filming there often needs permission, making these pranks unethical.
