Greywater tech proved me wrong
Always said it was too much effort. A simple setup showed big water savings. What sustainable tech changed your view?

Wow, my friend's composting toilet at their cabin completely changed my mind about that whole idea.

Yeah greywater is pretty cool once you see it work. But man, @blair_taylor, composting toilets are where I draw the line lol. That whole process seems messy and kind of gross to deal with. The idea of managing all that material myself, plus the potential smells in a small cabin, is a big nope for me. It just feels like a step too far for what you get back.

You ever been to a cabin with a really well set up composting toilet? I used to think exactly like you, but staying at my buddy's place changed my mind. His had a fan system, so there was zero smell, honestly less than a bad porta-potty. After a year, he just had a bucket of dirt he used in his non-food garden. It wasn't gross, it was just... done.
