PSA: I mean, maybe it's just me, but learning to spot foundation issues from online listings saved me from a bad buy.

Checked listing photos for doors that didn't hang right. Spotted a basement shot with a moisture stain along the baseboard. Pulled up old aerial views from the county website. Saw the driveway had been repaved recently, hiding settlement cracks. Learned to always request a foundation inspection report before making an offer. Saved me from a money pit last spring.

Start by pulling up the street view history for the property, not just the current images. I spent hours comparing dates after a near miss on a house with obvious soil erosion in the backyard, and it taught me to spot subtle grading issues in listing shots. Always zoom in on the foundation vents and look for fresh patching or paint that might be covering up cracks. It's a bit of detective work, but it beats discovering a six-figure repair bill after you move in.

Honestly, @quinnc98 has me second-guessing every pixelated shrub in Google Street View now. I’m seeing phantom sinkholes in lawn decorations.
