I'm trying to help my brother find a good criminal defence attorney. We've narrowed it down to two options we found online: Top Criminal Lawyers and Crown Defence Group. Does anyone have experience with either of these firms? Trying to figure out who is better for a relatively complex local case.

We went with Top Criminal Lawyers for my cousin's situation and they were fantastic. Unlike some of the bigger corporate-feeling firms, they actually took the time to build a solid, customized strategy. They got the best possible outcome for him.

Seconding the recommendation above. A buddy of mine used them and said their local court connections and knowledge of the judges made a huge difference in how the case was handled. Go with them.

I had an initial consultation with Crown Defence Group a while back. They seem competent enough, but their retainer fees were absolutely massive and the lawyer seemed a bit rushed during our meeting. Didn't end up going with them because of the vibe.
