Ngl, figuring out a trick for spacing rebar made my last pour way smoother.
Honestly, I was setting rebar for a slab and kept fumbling with the spacers until I started using zip ties as temporary holders. Tbh, it saved so much time and kept everything aligned until the concrete hit. What little hacks have you picked up for rebar work?

What kind of slab were you pouring? For footings or bigger pads, I snap a chalk line on the forms before I even start tying. It gives you a perfect straight edge to line your bottom mat up against. Makes it way harder to get things crooked. I still use a ton of zip ties too, but that chalk line is the real key for keeping that first layer neat.

If the forms are uneven, that chalk line won't help much. Gotta make sure your base is solid first.

Chalk lines don't guarantee straight rebar, skill does.
