My coffee run sparked a big worry about my stock choices

I was grabbing my usual coffee and noticed the logo from a company I invest in. It hit me that my money might be helping things I don't like. For instance, I read this firm has faced claims about unfair pay in its factories. Now I check my investment account and feel a bit wrong. I got into investing to save for the future, not to back bad acts. But pulling my money out could mean losing gains. It's a tough spot for someone just starting out.

Switched coffee shops last year over similar worries about sourcing.

Unfair pay claims often come from factory audits in places like Central America. Did the reports say which factories or if it was a common problem? Some investors check ethics scores before buying stock. Have you looked into those or asked the company directly?

A factory audit in Guatemala I read about found consistent pay issues. My own look into their ethics score showed red flags across the board. Companies usually give cookie-cutter responses, but investor pressure can force real change!
