Just realized I've been saying 'ETF' all wrong for months
So I was at a coffee shop with my buddy, talking about starting to invest, and I kept saying 'EFT' instead of 'ETF'. Like, I thought it was 'Electronic Fund Transfer' or something, lmao. He just stared at me for a solid ten seconds before cracking up. Turns out, ETF stands for 'Exchange Traded Fund', and I'd been using it wrong in every conversation since I started reading about investing. I even corrected someone once, which is so embarrassing now. The worst part is, I was so confident about it, like I had it all figured out. It's a good reminder to double-check the basics before sounding like a fool. Now I'm paranoid about every acronym, lol.

Oh my gosh, that is so relatable! I totally did the same thing but with IRA, I kept calling it an "Individual Retirement Account" but saying the words in the wrong order for ages. My tip is to make a little note on your phone for any new terms you learn, just the acronym and what it means. Reading it out loud once really helps it stick too, so you don't have that moment again!

Think about why our brains scramble word orders. Making a story out of the letters helps lock it in.
