Reflecting on how my morning routine evolved from a solitary yoga mat session to live-streamed group classes, and the strange sense of community it brings.

Honestly, the transition from solo practice to a live stream felt awkward at first, like I was performing for no one. But setting up a consistent login time and actually using the chat function changed everything. It forces a bit of accountability, and you start recognizing the same usernames, which builds that weird digital camaraderie. My advice is to treat it like a real class, mute your mic if you need to, but don't be a ghost participant. The connection is superficial until you engage, then it somehow becomes this tangible support system. Still miss the quiet of my own mat sometimes, though.

How do you switch off from the performative aspect once the stream ends? I'd worry about carrying that energy into my own practice.
