Warning from yesterday's hike: Don't trust the old maps for Cedar Creek loop
I was out on the Cedar Creek loop trail yesterday and ran into a big problem. My printed map from last year showed a good footbridge over the main creek. When I reached the spot, the bridge was completely gone, just washed out from all the rain we had. I had to climb down a muddy slope and try to cross on wet, unstable rocks. The current was strong and I almost slipped in, which would have been bad. This isn't updated online yet, so lots of people might not know. If you're heading there soon, pack some extra gear for crossing or just avoid that section. Talked to a ranger later and they said it won't be fixed for weeks. Always check recent trail reports before you go.

Actually @riley_taylor old maps still show the reliable parts just fine.

Notice how often we rely on old info that's no longer accurate. It happens with traffic apps, restaurant hours, everything.
