Finally kept my feet dry on the Miller Creek water crossing

I've always had bad luck with creek crossings, usually ending up with soaked socks. Yesterday, I took it real slow and found a solid line of rocks to hop across. In my experience, a little patience goes a long way. It's a small thing, but not getting wet made the rest of the loop way more enjoyable.

Based on my hikes, a little patience saves a lot of hassle later.

My buddy Jake learned that the hard way last fall. He blasted up this trail to beat sunset, didn't bother checking the markers. Ended up way off course in the dark. Took a rescue team hours to find him. That rushed hour cost him the whole night and a ton of worry. Total proof that slowing down actually gets you there faster.

Disagree sometimes, I've made better time pushing hard on a familiar route. Caution can cost you that STRAIGHT shot home.
